Who is Mother Bear’s House ?
Hi I am Corrin Maker of Mother Bear’s House. I am a passionate artist and educator whose creative journey has been guided by a deep faith in Christ. After graduating from Ringling College of Art and Design, I began my teaching career at a small Catholic school, later returning to my alma mater to create with high school students. Eventually, I made my way back to my hometown to start a family and teach at the local elementary school.
Life’s journey has had its share of ups and downs, but through the challenges—including navigating the joyful chaos of raising four daughters— I has remained anchored by my nurturing spirit and wild creativity. My art reflects this journey, woven together with faith and a desire to cultivate a safe and beautiful environment for my family.
I have illustrated the charming book “Once Upon a Chicken,” written by the talented Deborah Corrao, available on Amazon. My artistic talents extend to painting murals in Ybor City, Tampa, and recently I have created the brand “Mother Bear’s House,” where I share videos and creative content that celebrate the treasured moments of my life with my husband—who embodies the spirit of a bear (In my opinion)—and our wonderful daughters.
In my quiet contemplative garden, I walks with Christ, finding beauty and inspiration in everyday life, and I invite you along with me to take the journey.
Homemaking is an art, and like art it takes on many forms.
