Merry Christmas from my house to yours, what does Christmas mean to you ? If you ask my daughter Suzie, it means “JOY AND HAPPINESS”. To my daughter Ava “Its a way to spend time with family.” To me and my husband it’s a time to be mindful, to meditate about the holy family and to make sure each of our daughters feel the love that we have for them. We live divided at times, two of our girls are spending time with the other half of their family. Our days unfold like those of any other family, with Rice Krispies lingering in leftover bowls in the sink and little ones bustling out the door with their backpacks on their shoulders. Amidst the delightful chaos, however, our unique story often gets overlooked, tossed around like loads of laundry waiting to be folded. I grew up in a lively Italian family, where my young and spirited parents fostered a warm and loving environment. Just next door lived my maternal grandparents, and one door over was my aunt and uncle. Those years were filled with joy as we raced between the houses, creating some of the best memories of our lives.…
